A TOOLKIT FOR MONITORING DAMAGED BUILDINGS AND FACILITIES. MOBILE VERSION (TMDB MV)

TMDB MV
- TMDB was designed to ensure safety and notify rescue teams during their work in buildings in emergency condition.
TMDB is meant for:
- Automatic, real-time monitoring a building in emergency condition along with registering changes in its structural state (tilts and cracks development);
- On-time notifying rescue teams about structural changes within an emergency building.

TMDB consists of:
- 3 portable cases.
- A processing and notifying unit. It receives and processes signals coming from the sensors. Each unit is equipped with a micro-computer with a touch screen, a wireless modem and an autonomous power supply.
- A measuring toolkit. It can be located in several cases. The kit includes sensors and wireless units to receive and transmit messages. There are two types of sensors in the kit - inclinometers (tilt sensors) and linear displacement transducers. Information exchange is performed by means of radio communication in the range of 433.1 - 434.7 MHz.
- Spare parts. Includes mounting equipment and spare batteries.

TMDB Functioning
TMDB receives data from the sensors. The sensors should be placed at critically important points of damaged building structures. TMDB processes data collected from the sensors in order to determine current characteristics of the emergency building structures.
Based on the processed data TMDB generates a light and audible signal informing about:
- Critical change in current characteristics of engineering structures of an emergency building (tilts and cracks development);
- Malfunction of TMDB and its components.
